DLC coating (Diamond Like Carbon), is a hydrocarbon coating that can be generated through plasma deposition technique. Among the main characteristics we find a reduction of the friction coefficient, a greater resistance to wear and, in some cases, an increase in hardness due to the rigidity of the film created.

The plasma deposition technique is a production process that has already been consolidated for some time for some types of applications such as, for example, the waterproofing of fabrics or, in many cases, as an anti-scratch coating for optical eyeglass lenses.
